Baynote’s Annual Holiday Survey 2014

In our 4th Annual Holiday survey conducted with Lauren Freedman of the eTailing group, we surveyed 1,000 shoppers right after Cyber Monday in early December, 2013. With four years of holiday shopper surveys, we are really starting to see some interesting trends emerge.

Here are just a few teasers of information from this year’s exciting results:

  • 60% of holiday shoppers surveyed indicated that unconditional free shipping is extremely important to them – up 58% over 2012

  • Use of branded apps as a shopping tool were up 48% in 2013 over 2012

  • 64% of shoppers surveyed researched products and retailers online prior to their store visit

  • Online ratings and reviews influenced 48% of shoppers – a 45% increase from 2012
