Marketing Specialist, Demand Generation

Baynote is seeking a Marketing Specialist, Demand Generation to develop and execute marketing programs intended to increase leads and sales pipeline.

This is an individual contributor role with a high degree of self-sufficiency needed. This position is based in Cupertino, CA. Travel 10%.

Reports to Senior Marketing Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Develop plans and execute demand generation and nurturing programs
  • Document lead generation metrics and results
  • Analyze sales/marketing database (Salesforce.com) and marketing funnel stage; identify areas that need more concentrated efforts
  • Make recommendations for programs and priorities based on above
  • Tactical execution of:

    • Trade shows, webcasts, seminars, and executive dinners
    • Crafting of speaking abstracts for Baynote executives
    • Email and nurturing campaigns
    • Assist with customer references
    • Evaluate and recommendation marketing automation and lead development vendors/systems

Skills Needed:

  • Salesforce.com, Excel skills and analytical ability
  • Long range planning, detailed scheduling, inter-team coordination
  • Flexibility in the face of multiple priorities and ambiguities
  • Exceptional project management, detail-orientation and strong organizational and skills
  • Marketing writing, PR writing experience a plus

Experience Required:

  • 2-3 years of direct/event marketing, lead generation, preferably in software or other web-related businesses
  • Event coordination, planning and logistics
  • Managing and acquisition of prospect lists, CRM/Salesforce.com; Salesforce.com administration a plus
  • Webcast management using tools like GoToMeeting, WebEx, LiveMeeting, etc a plus

District Sales Manager (New York)

What is your focus?

  • Working in a fast-paced, innovative environment you will be empowered to sell Baynote solutions to Enterprise size companies

Senior Account Executive

Responsibilities:

  • Working in a fast-paced, innovative team environment you will be empowered to sell Baynote solutions to both Mid Market and Enterprise companies in the eCommerce, Media and Enterprise market segments
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales quota and business targets
  • Deliver corporate presentations and demonstrations via the web to mid and senior level business owners and executives
  • Utilize CRM to track all pertinent information related to the opportunity and account and effectively manage territory

What are the requirements?

  • A minimum of 6 years of successful sales experience in a technology software company is required

  • Met monthly, quarterly and annual quota objectives at least 3 out of last 4 years
  • Past experience with SaaS or on demand application software companies selling to mid and large enterprise accounts
  • Proven success in penetrating new markets and closing new business
  • Ability to build rapport, establishing trust and credibility through a consultative approach, and balance assertive sales follow-up
  • An understanding of Web Analytics, Content Management, Search Engine, Customer Support Applications and Portal solutions in a direct sales capacity is preferred

Lead Development Representative

As a Lead Development Representative, you are a core member of Baynote's team and you will:

  • Support the sales team by conducting outbound calls to senior- and mid-level executives
  • Qualify inbound inquiries as well as outbound leads

Director of Technical Operations

We are looking for a person that has prior experience in setting up and managing a Data Center. The ideal candidate would have been a strong individual contributor earlier in their career and thirsting for a leadership position. This person should have experience and knowledge in systems administration, network design, security, system monitoring and automation. The person should have the Operations mentality of setting up processes, worry about high availability, scalability and performance. The person should be highly-motivated, think holistically, and be able to work in a fast growing, fast paced startup environment.

What is your focus?

  • Data center operation strategy, process and execution to deliver performance, scalability and availability of 99.95%.
  • Building a team of A++ operations engineers.
  • Internal IT operations.

What do you need to be great at?

  • Senior management in a Web/IT Operations team – You thrive for the challenges in these areas. You are very disciplined and organized.
  • A leader to build a team over time. A good negotiator with vendors and suppliers.
  • You understand what makes a data center trouble-free – almost. You can implement all of the process to sleep well at night (with a pager).
  • Past scripting expertise – BASH, PERL etc – You smile and smack your lips when you need to automate things.
  • Past Unix Systems Administration desired – You know tons of obscure command line options and can probably win a trivia contest in the Unix Command Line flags.
  • Good knowledge of network design – Working with Firewalls, DNS, Load Balancers and the like make you jump with joy.
  • Strong sense of security – both internally and on the hosting systems – You are so protective people don’t know the car you drive.
  • Experience working with an On Demand company is a great plus – and you are looking for the next big company in this.
