As an inside sales rep, you need to be motivated. Inside sales reps think strategically about how to get to the right contact without ever meeting them face to face. We hired Patty both for her great attitude, and because she is focused in her sales strategy, ensuring that she reaches the decision makers when she needs to. Patty also focuses on the present, which many sales people can overlook, especially when the end of quarter rolls around. Patty took a few moments to tell us a little bit more about herself.
What is your name? Estela Valencia, but I go by my middle name, Patty
What is your current title? I’m an inside sales representative.
Tell us a little about your education and professional background. I have worked with various IT/data center companies. Prior to Baynote, I was selling servers, routers, and KVMs in the open source arena.
When you were a kid, what profession did you think you would pursue? When I was a kid I wanted to be a fashion designer and I wanted to have my own clothing line and boutique.
What is your motto or personal mantra? If you put a foot in yesterday and put a foot in tomorrow, you’re going to miss today… stay in the moment.
What attracted you to Baynote? I was initially attracted to the product offering. I find the ecommerce personalization space really appealing. I also really like the team.
So far, what are your favorite things about Baynote? The company culture and working with the sales team.
What are your top three favorite web sites you visit all of the time? I mostly visit Facebook, Yahoo News and Torrid.
Do you play an instrument or have a favorite sport? I enjoy watching football.
