In this funny video from Google Analytics, (shared by eTail) the online shopping experience is brought to life at a grocery store checkout. Comical ties to user names, illegible captchas and rapid timed out sessions bring light to the oh-so-common and frustrating online buying experiences just like when a website asks “ Are you sure?”
What’s reflected in this video is the essence of a buyer’s time. The checker doesn’t know the visitor, can’t remember their username, and the product he’s buying has varying levels of delivery times.
Today’s buyer is looking for a personalized shopping experience. They want to be known, they want one click check out and they only want to be recommended items that match them as a buyer.
